Gamasutra "The Art & Business of Making Games". A lot of information related to the business side of game creation, including project management. The "Postmortems" are priceless insights into the trials and tribulations many commercial game productions experienced... valuable lessons to be learned so that similar mistakes aren't made. MMORPG.com Massive list of MMOs, loads of information, critic insights, and player polls. Tons of forums where players of all games can (and do) speak their mind without fear of offical game forum moderator ban hammers. Between player blogs, polls, forum posts, and comments on featured articles, one can see the sentiments and wishes of the players. If you are not paying attention to what the players want (and what their behavior says), your game is probably doomed. This is a great resource for MMO market research.
